Pulling and drawing back your bow requires a several second hold that places stress on both your arms and chest as well as your shoulders and back. Repetition leads to muscle development in most of the major muscle groups of your upper body. Balance is vital to the success of your archery score because you have to be able to hold your body still while aiming and making that perfect shot. Just practicing the sport of archery helps you gain control over your balance as you focus on the target.
